3 Simple Steps to Live Stress Free

“Stress”, this word has become common place in today’s fast paced life. It is worrying, that not just adults but even children younger than age 10, are experiencing stress. A hectic life, a stressful job and with social media comes a plethora of other stress. There is an entire industry catering to the need of ‘de-stressing’, relaxing and rejuvenating.

But, what is stress?

Stress is at the end, ‘A State of Mind’.  It is a state of mind created due to our ‘reaction’ instead of ‘response’ to external stimuli.

How do we start responding instead of reacting to situations?

3 Simple Steps to learn Responding:

1. Breathe – The first reaction to stress is shallow breaths, causing oxygen levels to fall in the blood causing more stress. Practising the art of deep breathing is an instant and effective way to help you calm down and think clearly in stressful situations.

2. Detach – Instead of sinking into the situation, detach and look at it from a third person’s point of view. We always tend to see our problems bigger than they are. Putting you in a third person’s viewpoint helps in getting a balanced view to situation and come up with unbiased solutions.

3. Think Positive – It is human to get into a self pity mindset in difficult situations. Developing a positive disposition goes a long way in dealing with stress. Being mindful of our thoughts and emotions and actively working on thinking positive not only reduces stress but also leads o attracting happy and joyous situations in life.

M2O Nectar workshops offer a bouquet of tools and techniques that will equip you to practise all of the above with ease, live stress-free and radically transform the quality of life that you are leading.
