
Amita belongs to a beautiful town Beas, set in Punjab. By profession she is a textile designer having experience as a fashion artist Co-ordinator and lecturer in Textile Designing. She also teaches different types of art on social media hence making the best use of it. Apart from following her passion in art, she is happy wife and a mother.

“Art occupies a momentous place in our lives and souls. It has made a mark in our lives since ages and helped us to know our roots. However nowadays due to the fast paced life the presence of art and culture seems to be fading,” quotes Amita

With this her very own thought she started her Facebook page Asli Kala that perceives a vision preserve our country's heritage by promoting Indian Art and culture through hand made painting and other forms of art.
National Eminent Artists (Delhi), India Art Festival (Delhi & Mumbai) and Absolute Art India (Delhi) are some of the prominent places where Amita has Exhibited.
Amita has been felicitated with various awards and accolades which prominently includes Top Mural Painting in the 3rd International Online Art competition in Oct 21, First in Clay work from KKF ( Ajmer) in Nov 21 and Certificate of Honour for participating in National Art Group Exhibition.

A. How many years you have been in the field of art and why?
I am working as an artist still from last 24 years.
B. What media you have been using so far?
I'm currently using Acrylic on canvas with Texture & Mix Media.
In Mural art I have been using homemade clay & 12 carat Gold foil.
I also try my hand on Nib painting on handmade paper with waterproof ink.
C. What media you are planning to explore in the future?
I do not want to encompass myself within a predefined area.
Art can be felt and appreciated only when there are no boundaries.
Therefore I would love to free my imagination like a bird and use all media.
D. What kind of uniqueness you spotlight using your art?
I feel all my artwork have a distinct uniqueness.
In the Mural art the unique thing is the use of 12 Carat Gold foil.
In my Modern Art uniqueness lies in the use of 12 Carat gold foil and textures.
