Unveiling our rendezvous with Debashree Mavani
A. How many years you have been in the field of art and why?
I started my journey in this field ten years ago, as a student and now as a full time artist I am exploring ways of creative expression.
B. What media you have been using so far?
Charcoal as a medium has given me a lot of freedom, while oil colours allow me to experiment and hone my skills. Lately I have been exploring soft pastels and versatility of acrylic colours. While focusing on one medium, I also allow myself to play with other mediums to discover best ways to express my ideas and stories.
C. What media you are planning to explore in the future?
Next I wish to explore Leno and wood cut printing.
D. What kind of uniqueness you spotlight using your art?
The artworks I create have simple messages and most often clear for people to grasp it even in my absence. They have universal messages with vivid imagery aiming to be relatable to any viewer.
