Dr. Ambekar Shirish Shivajirao from Aurangabad, Maharashtra is a highly qualified painter with a Doctorate in Painting (PhD). He has also done hid MFA / BFA (Master / Bachelor of Fine Arts)
Dr. Ambekar has held 6 solo exhibitions at various reputed galleries in Aurangabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai and 20 group exhibitions in Aurangabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bhopal, Pune, Nanded and Parbhani.
He has received various awards in art competition and exhibitions at State and National level.
The Artist with over 30 years of experience is currently engaged with Dr.babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad as Asst.Professer & Head Department of Fine Arts. His paintings are sold to many government and private organisations in India and overseas.

How many years have you been in the field of art?
Being a artist/ painter & after my Fine art graduation l am working as an artist from last 25 Years.
What media you have been using so far?
Oil color is me favorite media & l am working in same media from last 25-28 years. Sometimes, I use different mediums like acrylic, mix medium, watercolor in very limited work. (study work)
What media you are planning to explore in the future?
Always use oil color on canvas, but in future i am planning to work on night series of Painting with oil colour
What kind of uniqueness you spotlight using your art?
My work of water lilies is combination of impressionism & Romantism or we can saythat i am inspired from above two ism but working in my new style of painting.
