Famous actor Rasik Dave dies of kidney failure

Famous TV and film actor Rasik Dave passed away on Friday night at 8 pm. He breathed his last in Mumbai itself. Rasik Dave was known for the character ‘Nanda’ of ‘Mahabharata’. However, apart from this, he also worked in many Gujarati plays, Gujarati films and many serials. Apart from all this, he was the husband of famous actress Ketki Dave.


Rasik Dave was on dialysis in a hospital in Mumbai for more than two years. Both his kidneys had failed. He used to go to the hospital thrice a week for treatment, but his health was very bad for the last few days. He was undergoing treatment from a hospital in Mumbai. Rasik Dave not only worked in many Gujarati plays and films, but he also directed and produced many Gujarati plays.


Rasik Dave was last seen in Colors TV channel serial ‘Sanskar-Dharohar Apnon Ki’. In this serial, he played the role of Karsandas Dhansukhlal Vaishnav. The show narrated the story of an obedient and cultured son living in Keshavgarh and was dedicated to uniting the family members.


Rasik Dave was earlier seen in Sony TV’s longest running show ‘Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka’. This show is considered to be the first Hindi show to complete 1000 episodes. The show revolves around a Gujarati business tycoon, who lives with his four sons. Rasik Dave played the role of Shekhar, the only son in this show. Apart from this, he was seen in the famous show ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ telecast on Doordarshan. This show was a story based on a famous detective.
