Fire in Delhi’s Azad market area on Saturday morning

Five shops spread over three buildings were trapped in a massive fire that broke out at Delhi’s Azad Market area on Saturday morning. The fire was brought under control with the help of 20 fire engines.


Rajinder Atwal, Divisional Fire Officer stated “The fire that broke out in a few shops in Azad Market today has been brought under control with the help of 20 fire engines. The fire was spread across 3 buildings.”


The morning for Delhi’s fire fighter became more unpleasant as another fire broke out at a factory in Anand Parvat Industrial Area injuring 3 firefighters. They were rushed to BL Kapoor Hospital for treatment. The firefighting operation is currently underway with 10 fire tenders on the spot.
