Fox Star Studios and Karan Johar have bought the rights to Malayalam film Hridayam. Hridayam was released in Jan this year starring Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Darshana Rajendran.
Earlier Karan Johar had brought the rights for Malayalam hit Driving License and the same would be remade as Selfiee, starring Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
Off late the south Indian film industry has been delivering a remarkable performance and audience appeal.
Bollywood has been recently witnessing heavy competition form the South Indian cinema and the video streaming platforms. Content quality would be the biggest area of focus for Bollywood in the days to come.
