Mumbai based freelance painter, Piyali Sarkar, has been honing her skills in contemporary and classic style figurative paintings with the vision of capturing important moments in life through paintings. Rich and bold color palatte is created for every peice of art from own imagination by herself which brings life to these paintings.
After completing her graduation she went to United States and fulfilled her passion of learning paintings in different mediums. She has completed several certificate course in States and enhanced her learning through a variety of online courses. Recently she is doing her MA- Masters in Drawing and Painting.
Piyali’s presence at India Art Festival 2022 has brought her lot confidence and moving on she stands committed to two more Solo shows this year; Academy of Fine Art Kolkata in Sep 2022 and Kamal Nayan Bajaj Art Gallery in Oct 2022. She is also an art Instructor training students in India and overseas.

A. How many years you have been in the field of art and why?
I have been in the field of art for the last five years because I can express myself through my paintings.
B. What media you have been using so far?
I work with Acrylic and watercolor mediums.
C. What media you are planning to explore in the future?
In the future I wish to work on fusion painting using charcoal and watercolor.
D. What kind of uniqueness you spotlight using your art?
Art is my passion. I love to play with the colours and create different compositions from my imaginative study. I like to capture different moments of life through paintings. Doing painting is so engaging that it helps to keep away any kind of distraction in life. Diving into painting wasn't a random choice it was extremely my voice of mind which allows me to invest time and energy in myself to explore what that might be.
