
A full time banker by profession Poonam is a self-thought artist from Mumbai who loves exploring colors and themes. Art has always inspired her to discover a different realm of feelings and emotions whilst experimenting with themes and colours is also a kind of meditation for her.

She has exhibited at various prestigious events such Solo show at BKC organised by Rare Mandi Art Gallery in Mumbai, India Art Festival at Nehru Centre in Mumbai, Live painting at Malaka Spice Art Exhibition organised by Romartika Art Gallery in Mumbai, Tejashree Creations in association with Kalanirvana International Art Centre in Mumbai and Global Art Fair in Mumbai.

She has been awarded with Deutsche Bank AG Superstar award for Painting. Striking the balance between the professional life and the passion showcases exuberance and narrates the journey of her perseverance.

A. How many years you have been in the field of art and why?
I am self thought artist sketching and painting since my childhood and continued my passion improvising day by day.I started to showcase my artworks just 2 years back, however due to Covid restrictions, did not have chance to display much but my art making continued.Â
B. What media you have been using so far?
Mainly acrylic and oils is my current medium and have matured it through thorough practice.
C. What media you are planning to explore in future?
Medium such as charcoal and watercolors which is also very intense and would like to explore in future
D. What kind of uniqueness you spot light using art?
I make my space in art field with unique thoughts brought out on canvas.
