
Sonali Verma, an artist and a Master in Geology from Mumbai was always fascinated towards painting since childhood. She believes that colours are her expression. She has served as a lecturer in Department of Geology, Nagpur University later she decided to be a homemaker; and now a proud mother of two is committed to contribute positively towards mankind.

Recently she has infused geology and painting together, a successful experiment to create something unique. as uniqueness is of paramount importance in her life. She has blended natures’ gift like semi-precious stones, stones / rocks, mud, sand, clay, gum, resins, and sea-shells into heart touching art works.

She considers participating in Indian Art Festival 2022 at Mumbai was a great experience and a learning platform where she gathered immense appreciation for her art work which means a ton for her creativity and confidence.
“I am very passionate about journey called life and believe in celebrating every moment of it,” says Sonali.

A. How many years you have been in the field of art and why?
Since childhood I'm involved in painting because of my passion for art.
B. What media you have been using so far?
Acrylic, oil paint, watercolour but this time at India Art Festival I had experimented with Geode painting.
C. What media you are planning to explore in the future?
In the future, I would like to fuse geode with other media and create something unique.
D. What kind of uniqueness you spotlight using your art?
Being from a geological background, I want to experiment with geology and art together to create something very unique with a strong message.
