Unveiling our rendezvous with Vaishali Rajapurkar
A. How many years you have been in the field of art and why?
I have been involved in art since the age of 9/10 as my mother was an artist and so art material was always available to me .Art came to me as a legacy ,it’s my passion and my reason for being , I am art and art is me and the two cannot be separated.
B. What media you have been using so far?
I started with pencils and charcoals . I started using oils as soon after and continued using them till I was introduced to acrylics about 10 years back. I use the pouring technique and have learnt the ancient Turkish Ebru art which has been declared by UNESCO as heritage art.Very recently, in fact during the pandemic when material was not easily available , I decided to explore digital art. After a lot of trials and errors and experimentations I actually managed to come up with a unique form of art wherein I use digital, acrylics and inks on paper and canvas.
C. What media you are planning to explore in the future?
I love experimenting and will continue to do so.
D. What kind of uniqueness you spotlight using your art?
The uniqueness of this mixed media is that size is not a constraint , so I can cater to the clients specifications very easily.
